Erasmus+ Project
ESCAPE: Educating Schools through Creative and Active Play for SDGs
Objectives of the project
The ESCAPE project aims to enhance digital gamification skills among teachers, integrate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into school education, and promote game-based learning through escape games. It will train 30 educators who will mentor 120 more, develop 18 multilingual escape games, and establish a Digital Hub as an Open Educational Resource (OER). The project fosters innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in European education.
What activities are we going to implement?
The ESCAPE project will implement four key activities:
- Training Ambassador Programme – Training 30 teachers in gamification and escape game creation.
- Development of Escape Games & Digital Hub – Co-creating 18 SDG-focused escape games and launching a multilingual OER platform.
- Piloting & International Exchange – Testing games with 1,800 students and refining outputs.
- Dissemination & Multiplier Events – Engaging 250+ stakeholders to ensure long-term impact.
What results and other outcomes do we expect?
The ESCAPE project will produce 18 SDG-focused escape games in six languages, a Digital Hub for open educational
resources, and a Trainer Ambassador Programme training 150+ teachers. At least 1,800 students will benefit from game
based learning, with 80% improving SDG awareness. The project will engage 250+ stakeholders through Multiplier Events, ensuring long-term integration of gamification in education and broad adoption across schools and training institutions.
